The Château de Gruyères is a historic landmark not to be missed. A true emblem of the region, it offers visitors of all ages an incredible journey through eight centuries of art, history and legends.
Château Saint-Germain, in the heart of medieval Gruyères, is home to one of the world's strangest museums. The exhibition, devoted to the works of Swiss artist Hans Ruedi Giger (b. 1940), plunges visitors into a surprising and disturbing world of science fiction. A large room houses the artist's private collection.
Known for his futuristic creatures, the Graubünden artist and illustrator became famous for his contribution to the film "Alien", for which he created the monster and which won him an Oscar in Hollywood in 1980.
